Hello.
This is me, Elanna Allen. I design imaginary worlds and creatures that capture the joy of being human. I illustrate books and murals, and design and direct animated television shows. My Story
It started with a childhood love of sculpting tiny things, that morphed into the making of tiny clay stop motion movies that blossomed into a career of creating cohesive design languages for colorful worlds of animation and picture books. I studied fine art at Brown University, illustration at RISD, and animation at the National Film Academy in Prague, FAMU.
I've designed and/or directed shows for Nickelodeon, Disney, PBS, Netflix, and Jim Henson Company, and published books with Simon & Schuster, HarperCollins, and Penguin Randomhouse.
I live on the Upper East Side of Manhattan with my husband and two sons (three sons, if you include my cat). Say hello sometime!
