Hello.
This is me, Elanna Allen. I design imaginary worlds that capture the joy of being human.
Enjoy perusing my illustration, character design, drawings, animation, and television shows on this site. Also, there are a smattering of my AI creations based on diffusion models trained solely on my original art. Enjoy!
My Story
It started with a childhood love of sculpting tiny things, that morphed into the making of tiny clay stop motion movies that blossomed into a career of creating cohesive design languages for colorful worlds of animation and picture books. I studied fine art at Brown University, illustration at RISD, and animation at the National Film Academy in Prague, FAMU.
I've designed and/or directed shows for Nickelodeon, Disney, PBS, Netflix, and Jim Henson Company, and published books with Simon & Schuster, HarperCollins, and Penguin Randomhouse.
You can find me in New York City, trying to play the ukulele. I also sing, much to the dismay of my husband, two sons (three sons, if you include my cat) and downstairs neighbors. Say hello sometime!
